Meet the Masters Program
for Elementary School Students
in Houston County |

Through this
project volunteers will briefly present the life
and times of an artist by impersonation or
discussion. The artist’s work will be visually
displayed and analyzed appropriate to the grade
level. Students will then participate in
creative art, which relates to the presentation.
It is possible that as a follow up, along with
their own creation, students could be given a
memo to parents which would allow them to share
their new knowledge with parents and siblings.
PURPOSE:
1. To be a resource for Houston County art
teachers and to aid their efforts in providing
professional quality artistic experiences for
the students in Houston County.
2. To help encourage the development of artistic
talents of young children.
3. To help develop a broader appreciation for
fine art.
Volunteer actors and artists bring this event to
Houston County Schools elementary classrooms.
